This is my dog, staring at me, hoping for a treat. Sometimes I feel like my website is staring at me, hoping for an update. Shall we go with a list format or a super long paragraph full of run-on sentences? I thinks I'll goes with a list.
- Slowly baby-stepping into self-promotion of "Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!". It's available in the Olathe schools library system and will be in Johnson County Libraries within a week or two. Awesome. I LOVE libraries.
- Writing new PB manuscripts. These are for the 12x12 PB challenge on Julie Hedlund's website. My first story about a clever anagram solving little boy named Stan Catif was gracefully declined by Mr. Stephen Fraser. But I will find a home for that one yet. My second submission was a re-worked version of an early manuscript of mine, called "Carl the Brave and the Wonder Cave". It rhymes! And I actually believe I have a good handle on the rhythm and cadence of that one too. No reply yet. Submission number three will be due at the end of this month.
- Reading submissions for knowonder! We are accepting chapter books now, so I'm looking forward to help review those.
- General knowonder! update: There are still plans to do short story collections, but not until later this year, and not one per month. Maybe back to that schedule in the future. Currently accepting submissions for MG chapter books in the 8k to 15k word count range.
- Still cranking out the radio funny on the DLC show twice a week!
And... I think that's about it. Oh, did I mention that Sporting KC's season has started? Yeah, that takes a lot of my time too. I love soccer.
Bye for now!
